9th Hole:
Aerial photos of the east side of the course. The group of maple trees between the 9th & 10th fairways are scheduled to be removed.

Here are the five maples in question. The two trees on the right are too close to the bunkers and create a double hazard. They will continue to grow larger and so will this problem. Both Renaissance Golf and the USGA have advised us to remove these trees.

The view from the 9th tee in 1970. There were a few crab apple trees to the right of the tee, but the only tree between the 9th and 18th fairways was the infamous Burner, the big hawthorn tree on the right, that is in a perfect location. Raynor designed this area to provide an open, panoramic view.
